Mississippi Valley Cedar

Mississippi Valley Cedar

Mississippi Valley Cedar is produced from the eastern red cedar tree, a common coniferous species growing on a variety of sites throughout the eastern half of the United States. Although not generally considered to be an important commercial species, its wood is highly valued because of its beauty, durability, and workability.

  • Light red and cream colored, holds it original color longer than most mulches

  • Very aromatic and naturally insect resistant

  • Insulates soil from damage from freeze/thaw cycles

  • Helps deflect evaporation of moisture from soil

  • Light weight and resistant to decay
