IMPORTANT INFORMATION Energy Surcharge Will Be Added WhenDiesel Fuel is Equal To or Above $3.00/Gallon
In order to calculate an unbiased ESC, we will be using the Midwest average diesel fuel cost for our base calculations. This information is uploaded from the US Government EIA (Energy Information Administration) website on Monday evening. Please visit: http://tonto.eia.doe.gov/oog/info/wohdp/diesel.asp#graph_buttons Weekly calculations are from Tuesday to Monday:* EXAMPLES: For mix and match (palletized) loads, the formula will be: (The posted price of fuel on Monday evening) x (1.67) = (per pallet ESC fee) For example, Tuesday fuel is $3.00/gallon. $3.00 x 1.67 = $5.01 per pallet $5.01 per pallet x 18 (number of pallets on truck) = $90.18 Your energy surcharge will be $90.18 For bulk loads, the formula will be:(The posted price of fuel on Monday evening) x (.42) = (per cubic yard ESC fee) For example, Tuesday fuel is $3.00/gallon. $3.00 x .42 = $1.26 per cubic yard $1.26 per cubic yard x 70 (number of cubic yards on truck) = $88.20 Your energy surcharge will be $88.20 Since the cost of fuel is fluctuating at such a dynamic rate, we feel this is the fairest calculation we can offer and we will update our formula every Tuesday* morning using the government posted Midwest average on the above website. (*The EIA website is updated Monday evenings – We will calculate loads from Tuesday to Monday using the previous Monday rate.) In order to keep costs down for everyone concerned:
